Notice ‘Dance Supremacy’ Makes Its Official Debut in Korea — Featuring Judge Babysleek from Street Woman Fighter 2
The globally rising dance competition Dance Supremacy will be held in Korea for the first time this July. The event is divided into two main categories: Kings & Queens Korea on July 26 and International Korea on September 13, both taking place at the PACO Art Hall in Mokdong, Seoul. Dance Supremacy has rapidly gained international recognition, with editions held in Canada, Tokyo, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. Korea marks the sixth country to host this prestigious event. This competition was designed to connect K-dancers directly to the global scene and provide a platform to evaluate their skills against international standards. It has already captured the attention of dancers across Asia. Kicking off the series, Kings & Queens Korea will feature an esteemed panel of judges, including Babysleek, who gained massive attention through Mnet’s Street Woman Fighter 2, Sayaka, leader of the Japanese dance crew Tsubakill, and Calvin, leader of The Stories, who appeared on America’s Got Talent. Tsubakill will also perform as a special guest on stage. International Korea, scheduled for September, is open without restrictions on nationality or age. The winner will earn a spot in the Dance Supremacy International Final. The judge lineup for this category will be revealed in August. Eddie Jang, CEO of the organizing company Aspekt ENT, stated,
“Dance Supremacy Korea is a real gateway for Korean dancers to engage with the global scene. It also demonstrates how K-dance is evolving into an exportable cultural content on the world stage.”
Participants can register through the official Aspekt ENT website, with applications closing seven days prior to each event date.

''댄스 슈프리머시'는 빠르게 성장하고 있는 글로벌 댄스경연대회로, 캐나다와 도쿄, 필리핀, 싱가포르, 말레이시아에서 개최된 바 있다. 한국은 한국은 여섯 번째 개최국으로 이름을 올리게 됐다. '댄스슈프리머시 코리아'는 청소년·대학생 대상의 '킹스앤퀸즈 코리아'와 국내외 참가자를 대상으로 한 '인터내셔널 코리아' 두 개의 경연으로 구성됐으며, K-댄서들이 글로벌 무대와 직접 연결될 수 있도록 설계됐다. 국내 댄서들이 국제 기준에서 자신의 실력을 검증받을 수 있도록 기획, 아시아권 댄서들의 주목을 받고 있다. 먼저 열리는 '킹스앤퀸즈 코리아'는 만 14세 이상 24세 이하의 청소년과 대학생을 대상으로 한다. 심사위원으로는 Mnet '스트릿 우먼 파이터2'에 출연해 화제를 모은 베이비슬릭과 일본 댄스팀 츠바킬의 리더 사야카, '아메리카 갓 텔런트'에 출연한 더스토리즈의 리더 칼빈이 참여한다. 츠바킬도 스페셜 게스트로 참석, 화려한 무대를 꾸민다. '인터내셔널 코리아'는 국적과 연령 제한 없이 모든 댄서에게 열려있으며, 우승자에게는 '댄스슈프리머시 인터내셔널 파이널' 본선 진출권이 부여된다. 심사위원 명단은 오는 8월 중 공개 예정이다.
이번 대회의 주관사인 아스펙트이엔티 장용혁 대표는 "댄스슈프리머시 코리아는 국내 댄서들이 글로벌 씬과 직접 연결되는 실질적 기회가 될 것"이라며 "K-댄스가 세계 무대에서 하나의 수출 콘텐츠로 자리매김할 수 있음을 증명하는 계기가 될 것"이라고 밝혔다. 참가 신청은 아스펙트이엔티 공식 홈페이지를 통해 가능하며, 각 대회 개최일 기준 7일 전까지 접수가 마감된다. |
