'ASPEKT ALL-OUT' Street Dance Battle Successfully Held at Mokpo General Stadium on May 25
The street dance battle competition “ASPEKT ALL-OUT,” co-hosted by MBC and Aspekt ENT, concluded successfully on May 25, 2025, at Mokpo General Stadium as part of the 2025 Mokpo Music Play festival. Planned as one of the main programs of 2025 Mokpo Music Play, “ASPEKT ALL-OUT” brought together an electrifying atmosphere filled with energy from both the audience and participants. According to the organizers, the event wrapped up in great success. Rooted in street dance culture, ALL-OUT was presented in an expanded format that balanced experimentation with mass appeal. Starting as a local project, the Mokpo edition featured eight top-tier battle guests representing Korea’s street dance scene, including Locktan, House Jibak, African dancer Daniel, Ocean, Juju, Lunayuna, B-boy Jonghoon, and Wizard. Alongside these artists, dancers from across the country competed in an intense and thrilling battle. Wizard was crowned the winner of the event, with B-boy Famous taking the runner-up position. The judging panel consisted of 5000 from “Street Man Fighter,” Sayaka from “Street Woman Fighter 2,” and B-boy Beast, adding depth and prestige to the competition. Additionally, the Japanese all-female dance crew Tsubakill (Sayaka, Miki, Momo, and Rena) made a special guest appearance, offering a vivid showcase of the global street dance connection. “Now in its second year, ASPEKT ALL-OUT is more than just a regional competition. It is an experimental starting point that connects cities, youth culture, and the street scene. This edition, aimed at the Jeonnam region, served as a powerful reminder of the cultural energy embedded in local areas. Based on this momentum, we plan to expand the ALL-OUT series across cities nationwide, each reflecting its own color and rhythm. We hope this locally-rooted movement will become a catalyst for reshaping Korea’s street culture ecosystem.” The event provided Gen Z in the Honam region with an opportunity to experience street culture firsthand. Social media content from celebrity dancers with over 100,000 followers rapidly spread online, driving meaningful digital exposure centered on the keyword “Mokpo.” Organizers noted that ASPEKT ALL-OUT proved that Mokpo could embrace and nurture both youth culture and the street scene, evolving beyond a one-off event into a meaningful cultural platform.
